There's more than meets the eye

Hello people! is March already! it feels just yesterday I'm having my birthday and now is March already?! time does running fast I guess. So how do you do? I hope (like always) life treats you kind as they are to me. So lets start the post! I guess it become my habit to start my post by answering a question. So the most ( I swear this is the most often question given to me) question people asked is "where you get all the inspiration?" and I always answer it with the most boring answer human kind ever made. It was song, movies, magazine or even people pass by that inspired me. Might be boring, but it's the truth. I'm kind a person who cannot live without music, I put my headphones most of the times, when I'm in the car, when I'm drawing, when Im working, when I'm studying, when I'm cleaning my room and when I'm blogging, even in the bathroom I always put my shower radio on. It's funny how one song can take my mind everywhere. So it's true music inspired me so much.

This post for example, for this post I was inspired by one lovely song I love since long time ago. At first I'm in love with this song because of the up beat and happy melody and the catchy refrain, so I started to sing along and when I start singing I found it's funny and weird how this up beat song actually telling story about a child who got abused and the song is like some kid who's telling a story in a song. at that time I think maybe my ears playing tricks with me, maybe I heard it wrong so I google it and found out that it really is music about child abuse and that happy tune was intentional made as a metaphorical denial to make it seem beautiful and still serene while discussing something that terrible and devastating, gosh. It's also as a metaphor for so many abuse victim who deny their abuse. The song was singing by Suzanne Vega called "My name is Luka" or in Italian called "Mi chiamo Luca".  From that simple song I learned that every kids has their own story. Some are like fairytale and some are nightmare. Knowing that I feel blessed and lucky, I might not have a perfect family like all the commercial tv showing off every day but I have too much love given to me, too much sometimes I feel bloated. 

No, I'm not gonna make a post about abused, but about how in every family there's a story. Every head had their own world, their own way of thinking, their own dream. So I'm thinking to make a short story ( been long time since last time I make my own story) but yeah let me warn you, it's not a jolly story, it's a story about a photographer and a twisted sisters. I was also inspired by a movie called "the secret life of bees" where in the that movies lived a sisters with name after a month August, May and June and every of them has different personality. In my story I used a birthstone as my characters name. I always love precious stone name like lazuli, amethyst I find them very beautiful yet mysterious. I'm start rumbling again, okay now I'm stop. So let's start the story. (hope you love reading long story! )

- This story is happen in very old and small town, It's the town where everybody knows everyone. Most of the building is old and have moss all over you can tell how old the building just by smelling it. The town is well known as a raining town, sun doesn't like to show his shine in this town for unknown reason.  To make this town more gloomy, everyone there seem to love wearing dark colors. You don't see any people wearing red or green in this town. This town is as old and gloomy as the soul go people living there.
Dwayne is a new and young photographer, he and his old camera is wondering around town to town try to finding a job. He take pictures of almost everything, but mostly a family pictures. Dwayne loves taking family pictures for him, nothing can make him as happy as make a happy moment of a family last forever in his photos. Of course the money is good too. So there here is Dwayne finally arrives in that gloomy old town, the moment he step his foot in, he instantly surrounded by bad feeling but this young boy decided to ignore that non sense feeling. He entered an old bar, the moment he's in everyone  stop doing what they do and every eyes on that bar is on him. He nod his head little bit and ordered one glass of water. There was three old man asking sit near him, Dwayne put himself together and introduce himself.

He asked that three old man if they know any family who needs photographer to make a family pictures. They all look at each other with weird expression. "I know one family who looking a photographer, but..." that old man did not finish his sentence, but you can see  fear expression in his face. The other men have same weird expression. Dwayne couldn't figure out why. "May I know where they live?" Dwayne asked politely. This time the other old man answering his question, "you can easily find their castle kid, it's in the top of the hill, you can see it from here... but if I were you I rather not trying..." again this old man like his friend not finishing his sentence. That old man take his  eye to look through the window, Dwayne following to see what that man look, from that window Dwayne can see the castle. Dwayne won't lie he's feeling not good about this, but there's no harm with trying, by look at the castle Dwayne sure he's gonna get a good money from that family, and money is everything he need right now.

That three old man was right, that family is searching for a photographer. The old butler take Dwayne to his Mrs. She looks nice, too thin but nice. She looks happy to see Dwayne knowing his a photographer, "I want you to take pictures of my daughters, I have five daughters. I hope you can work with them, they are not to easy to handle" Dwayne already imagine a little kid running around and screaming but look at the gold coins that madame hands to him Dwayne have no reason to say no.

Dwayne was surprised when he find out it wasn't kid at all, it's a girl, a teenager and a quiet one. She introduced herself with no smile at all. Dwayne later on taking pictures of the girls one by one and start learning their different personality. Dwayne knows much about zodiac and personality so here's how he pictured them one by one.

Saphirre

The butler told Dwayne that Saphirre is the rebel one in the family, she will not be pinned down by anyone or any rules no one can tell her no if she want something, that purple shoes is the living proof, her mother is almost crying asking her to take off the shoes, but as you can see it's failed. From short introduction Dwayne knows how Saphirre clever with words. She's a gemini for sure. 

Carnelian

 

 Dwayne starts to worry the minute Carnelian enter the room, she's so quiet and just like her sister she doesn't smile at all. As a Virgo she exists in the mind, everything is inside. To the world, she presents a calm and collected exterior but on the inside, nervous uncontrolled intensity in the mind, trying to figure things out, how to improve everything, analyzing and thinking. She can tire herself out without even moving! has a constant drive to improve and perfect, this can lead to extreme pickiness and finickiest. She is pure, her motives are honest and never malicious. 

Amethyst

Amethyst what can you say about amethyst, if her other sister is so quiet already the she is the most weird one. As a pisces as the sign of mysticism, mystery and the spiritual unknown. She lives in two worlds, the real world and the spiritual or mystical world where she interpret what she see into what she want. She do this to avoid all the realities of pain and suffering in the world. Her personality is hard to pin down, it is very mysterious and elusive.  She's molded by her surroundings, her incorporate her experiences and surroundings into themselves. She have extreme compassion and  feel the pain of others. If something is wrong in the world that affects her, it affects her deeply, she take it to heart and feel extreme feelings regarding the matter. When she is happy, she is extremely happy and when she is sad, she is extremely depressed.

Emerald

Finally a smile!  even a small one, but finally a smile! But the butler told Dwayne not to be fooled turn out Emerald is very complex, fragile, unpredictable and temperamental and need constant support and encouragement, more then all her sisters, She needs to be needed. Even when all needs are satisfied, she can be irritable and cranky. She have an uneasy, delicate temperament. She have contradictory nature of  gives her temperament the wild mood swings and possible temper tantrums. She is easily offended and will sulk and wallow in self pity for a long time if she get hurt. 

Lapis Lazuli

All Dwayne can say that Lazuli probably the most humane one, finally a conversation! Dwayne learned that Lazuli is not emotional or moody person, in fact she can be downright emotionally detached but she do get irritable when she got bored. Boredom is her fear and instead of facing it, she will up and leave in search of something more stimulating. She may not an emotional person but she is easily hurt by a careless selfish action, she will be blue but turn it around pretty quickly with her naturally sunny disposition. She don't dwell on hurt because it is a waste of their energy. Yes she's a sagitarius, it explain everything. 

She asked Dwayne who's next, and when Dwayne answered that it will be her oldest sister diamond, Dwayne swore he can see a smirk in her face, and she just say "good luck" and leave the room. 

Diamond

Yes, diamonds are the hardest substance known on earth, and assigned a hardness of 10 on Mohs hardness scale. You can only cut diamond with diamond, and there only one diamond in this family, so that means, she's the queen in the house. Oh she is the queen! She strongly project her personalities onto others and very self-oriented, but underneath the strong, independent surface may lie insecurity. This is due to her intense drive to succeed  put too much pressure on herself, thus resulting in self-doubt however, the natural optimism and enthusiasm overtakes this and the underlying insecurity may never be known to others.

Dwayne is finish taking pictures all of them, and when she pack his bag. The butler stay beside Dwayne. Dwayne finally asked the butler how old all the girls are. The butler smile weirdly and answer "you'll be shock sir if you know how old they are" confused with not so clear answer Dwayne asked again "Diamond, the oldest , how old is she?" The butler still with weird smile answered "Miss Diamond is hundreds or more, just like her name sir, she last forever" Now Dwayne just want to get out of the place, he cannot stand the weird atmosphere he then asked a where the exit door to the butler, the butler gives a funny look to Dwayne, and said "yes, exit door sir, as if you can come out life of this house... "

So now I'm sure you all wondering, how amazing all those dresses that I wear right? yes you can call me the one of the luckiest kid on earth, I won't deny it. Those amazing dresses was made by my very own talented friend koko Zico Halim and his friend kak Sherry Kandou, they both collaborated to make this line called Z et S beautiful right? I was in love with every single of them! When I first met koko Zico I know for some reason he was a very talented person, I don't even know that he was designer at that time but somehow I can sense it, and its turn out that I'm right. Will tell more story about him  on my next post ( I'm gonna wear his accessories on my next post! yaay!) So back to the dresses, let me tell you these babies was everywhere from  runway on last Jakarta Fashion week and many fashion magazines and now me as I told you one of the luckiest kid on earth wearing it, hehehe. Well, of course I might not look as cool as those professional model who's wearing it, but not bad right?    Right! hehehe... So thank you Ko Zico and kak Sherry!
